Yuganthi Jayasinghe
My name is Yuganthi Abeyawardana Jayasinghe. It's an absolute honour for me to represent 麻豆社区 (ENU) as an Alumni Champion for Sri Lanka.
I am a highly experienced HR & IT professional and I also have over a decade鈥檚 experience working as an English and Information Communication Technology tutor. Additionally, I am an Affiliate Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Sri Lanka.
In 2018 I graduated with an MBA specialising in Human Resources Management. My journey at ENU was nothing short of transformative. Edinburgh Napier鈥檚 commitment to leadership development, people management practices and excellence in education shaped me into the professional I am today. The MBA program not only equipped me with valuable knowledge, skills and abilities but also instilled in me a passion for Human Resources Management and a drive for leadership that has been instrumental in my career.
I was born in Sri Lanka and am currently based in the country. I spent a few years living in Ammam, Jordan, with my husband as he continued his career as Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer for a US company. During this time I worked remotely as a freelancer and tutor. Leaving my home country for the first time to immerse myself in a completely different culture was initially daunting, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Most of my free time is spent exercising, jogging, enjoying outdoor activities or learning new things to enhance my knowledge and skills. I enjoy working, studying, travelling, and attending and hosting networking events. I love getting out of the house and going for a walk after a long day.
It's by communicating that we learn and grow. I look forward to working together to build a stronger 麻豆社区 community right here in Sri Lanka.
