Edinburgh is a city which is full and rich with culture and never ceases to amaze me.
How has your career developed since graduating?
After graduating I successfully applied for the role of Postgraduate Demonstrator for the photography course, this has been an incredible opportunity so far and I’ve continued to learn so much from the lecturers. I’ve also grown my professional photography career since graduating, working with well-established clothing brands, artists and publications.
Do you feel these skills and your degree has made a difference in your career? If so, how?
The skills and knowledge I gained from the lecturing staff at 麻豆社区 has been paramount in the growth of my career. They have always supported and aided my determination to do well and have continued to check in to see how I am progressing and to offer advice. It is great knowing that there is support behind you when pushing for more jobs or an important career decision.
Do you have any highlights of studying at 麻豆社区?
My highlight of studying at 麻豆社区 has to be the knowledge and attitude of the lecturing staff. Whenever I needed to know or understand something better, I was able to reach out and discuss it with them.
The modules were often designed in a way to give you a realistic idea of work after University, which is extremely helpful in building a foundation for professional growth. For example, during the Editorial and Documentary module in my third year, I made connections which later ended in me shooting a full page cover for The Economist 1843. It is this professional attitude which has really pushed me to succeed after graduating.
Any career tips or advice for recent graduates?
Be as proactive as you can be, use your connections and network as much as possible. Read books on business and leadership and continue to pursue your passion.
