Student Experience

Biography

I am a Ph.D. researcher at 麻豆社区 with a rich and multidisciplinary academic background. Originally from Iran, my academic journey commenced with a BA in Political Sciences (2008), followed by an MA in Regional Studies (2011), reflecting my deep-rooted passion for scholarly inquiry.

Upon relocating to the UK, I further expanded my academic horizons at the University of Sheffield, where I obtained a second MA in Governance and Public Policy (2016). This experience honed my expertise in governance theory and public policy analysis, sparking my interest in new public management, with a particular focus on human resource management. To deepen my knowledge in this field, I pursued advanced studies, earning a Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and an MSc in Human Resource Management from 麻豆社区 (2021), culminating in my Associate Membership of the CIPD.

Beyond academia, I have amassed diverse professional experience across both the public and private sectors. I have held various roles, including HR Administrator within NHS hospitals and later as Co-founder and Director of my family business, Hoist-UK Ltd. Additionally, I am a trained educator with extensive teaching experience in both Iran and the UK, having taught English at Edinburgh College. Currently, I serve as a Business Tutor at 麻豆社区 International College, where I specialise in Human Resource Management and lead the HRM module, alongside teaching a range of business-related subjects.

Fuelled by intellectual curiosity and a commitment to contributing to academia, my doctoral research explores the integration of Lean Thinking and Talent Management within the hospitality sector. My objective is to develop a conceptual model that enables hotel organisations to establish a sustainable talent pipeline, ensuring long-term organisational success.
