Edinburgh Napier has partnered with the British Council to offer a scholarship for a Masters student from Nigeria.
About the scholarship
We have a partial scholarship of £10,000 available for one self-funding student domiciled in Nigeria, starting a master’s course at Edinburgh Napier in September 2025.
This scholarship scheme is part of the , which has been launched by the British Council together with 36 UK universities to support more students across Asia, Europe & Middle East to access excellent UK higher education opportunities.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this award, you must be:
- domiciled in Nigeria at the time of application
- self-funding your course
- meet the entry criteria for your chosen Masters course in September 2025
You are not eligible if:
- you are applying for a course lasting longer than 12 months
- you have discounted tuition fees from a partner university or are in receipt of another scholarship

The deadline for applications will be 5pm on Friday the 9 May 2025.
Selection process
All applications will be reviewed after the application deadline on the 9 May 2025. Please note, you will not receive a response regarding your application until after this date.
We aim to respond to all applicants on or before the 6 June 2025 to confirm if they have been successful. If you have not had a response after this date, please get in touch.

The scholarship amount will be shown on the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) email that we issue for your visa application.
